My limited automobilia fund (Mini-Grid in Toronto) carries more than lawful slot cars: they've got books, videos, magazines, and die-throw. Since getting into slots I've sold off my modes die-fling collection. Many of the cars I had collected were to be turned to account as slot cars and I didn't in reality see myself adding to what few pieces of diecast were left in my gathering. Since then, I've made a small joining to my die-cast assemblage thanks to the engaging offerings of Born of the same father and mother manufacturer BUB. Granted, the circle may be German, but these models are made in Chinaware.
The first additions to my 'puny' collection was their Mercedes W196 GP Streamliner (Art. No. 06652) and Renntransport (Art. No 07100). The 1:1 W196 was introduced to the Majestic Prix creation in 1954 and looked completely unlike any other car on the grid. This car featured many innovations such as its streamlined bodywork, inboard tympanum brakes, and in a right line fuel injecting. The model depicted competed at the non-championship generation held at AVUS in 1954 and was driven by Karl Kling. In disposition to get this technological prodigy from race to house, Mercedes had a tranporter palm and fingers built.
