So I’ve been perusal up on paint that’s been assayed on animals (expressions of gratitude to Michael for bringing this to my watch!). Clearly, a lot of house paints have been tried on animals. I had definitely no idea. For model, here’s the security data for Behr frosty paint #1050 — it lists all the living being tests that were done on this paint alone. They are Truly appalling.

Unfortunately, the Alliance for Consumer Notice in Cosmetics, my general go-to source for 100%-living being-testing-at liberty cosmetics/house products, does not testify to paint products. It equitable certifies cosmetics/family products. So, this makes discovery 100%-creature-testing-at liberty paints a diminutive tricky. Basically it way that there are no paint companies that bring into being their suppliers gage to give them animal-testing-at liberty ingredients. Even if I find a paint assemblage that swears it never commissions tests on animals, this doesn’t average its products are 100%-created being-testing-at liberty. It means the completed products have not been tried on animals, but the at the head ingredients that went into those paints may well have been sourced from companies that do proof on animals. So this makes those paints about . . . 50%-sentient being-testing-unrestrained by my reckoning. But I’ll equitable have to live with that. 50%-created being-testing-unrestrained is a heck of a lot more excellent than Behr-100%-cruelly-assayed-on-animals paint.
