I have affection for paint. One of my earliest memories is being 4 years old in kindergarten and coloring at an easel. Paint and fay tales, the finished combo for a very youthful artist-to-be. Although I began art with written instrument, canvas, paints, etc., the habitual things, house-fittings and wood presently followed.

One thing I've been asked over the years is tips on coloring things snowy for that aged, small house, shabby chic direct the eye. It's actually very light even though you see it done poorly sometimes. That is only because it takes a tiny bit of practice to ascendency it so that it looks cognate it happened over duration, on its own. Just don't give up if it isn't what you reflect is perfect straight away. We all flinch out learning how to create it work.

Sometimes you defect the glazing/antiquing to be very medium of vision, and then sometimes heavier. You might even dearth some parts the same fragment to have more glaze than other qualities.


This picture is of the tilt over the kitchen fall. Sweet Hubby built it for me. Cognate our other projects, I drew out what I wanted, shopped for the timber-land, plaster elements and moldings, and he did the carpentry operate for me. Then I painted it.
