On the elbow of 155th and Frederick Douglas Boulevard in Harlem lies Rucker Park. By appearances, the thicken pavement, anchored on one side by its run down viscous bleachers, is no separate than any other basketball princely retinue in the city, but this is the courtyard where nicknames are indelibly branded, and legends are born.

On September 1, 2006, the top 24 high-reaching school basketball players in the nationality stepped out on this princely retinue, that once saw the likes of Wither Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Dr. J to be rivals in the first annual “Elite 24″ all-heavenly body game. Gunnin’ For That #1 Mark (official location) follows eight of these players as they fit to showcase their skills at the most mythical playground in the universe.

Directed by Adam Yauch (MCA of the Beastie Boys and manager of Awesome; I F***ing Discharge That!), the documentary trails these players on the go hungry track to the NBA, as they are being groomed to be in the spotlight of a multi-a thousand thousand dollar pastime. Combining Yauch’s rare directing turn of expression with raw hip hop music, Gunnin’ highlights these pretty soon to be NBA All Stars.
I cogitate this movie sounds good of interesting. I’m intrigued by the rivalship itself and by the fact that a lot of these guys are already well on their way to becoming stars even though they were lawful high gymnasium athletes when this was filmed. I exercise the mind the poster looks fanciful as well.
