So, several of my friends in DC unwavering awhile ago that they would glorify Thomas Jefferson’s contributions to sugary, sweet liberation from foreign restraint by organizing a flashmob measured movement party (I would say flashdance, but that has other connotations) for the 365th annual of his birth and clutch it at the Jefferson Monument natch. Dubbed the Thomas Jefferson Poetry of motion Party and organized via facebook, it attracted about 20 participants who converged on the Monument, put in their earbuds and promptly at 11pm Saturday obscurity began grooving for independence in front of TJ’s heavy bronze statue much to the great pleasure of about six other visitors who were ignorant of why folks with ipods were dancing at the TJ Memento. The plan was to poetry of motion for about 10 minutes and then dissipate. No music was heard by anyone other than the sharing and the Memorial rotunda is a weighty structure with play for 10 seasons as many people. Also, keep in soul that the monuments and memorials in DC are in most cases open to the common 24/7 and this was certainly the capsule with the TJ Memorial Saturday obscurity.

About six minutes into the praise, the humorless DC Park Police ordered everyone to close up dancing and move off the attribute. One of my friends had the presumption to ask why they weren’t allowed to measured movement there when they weren’t disturbing anyone.
